• General Appointments

• A general appointment is 15 minutes in duration. We have appointments available between 8am and 6pm. These appointments can be booked through Manage my Health PRIOR to the day required. If your appointment is urgent or you require an extended appointment time please contact reception on 03 443 0710.

• Repeat Prescriptions

• Your doctor may have discussed with you the possibility of requesting repeat prescriptions without an appointment. These can be done through Manage my Health or via phone. The prescription should be available for collection within 48 hours. You can request for the prescription to be faxed to a pharmacy of your choice. There is a $15 charge for repeat prescriptions.

• Wanaka Skin Cancer Clinic

• In your 30 minute appointment you will be looked after by our team of nurses and GPs who specialise in skin. You will receive a full and comprehensive skin and mole check. Biopsies can be taken on the spot and liquid nitrogen treatment is available if necessary. We will photograph and record anything of concern for reference in the future so we can monitor any changes in skin over time.

• The Travel Doctor

• The Wanaka Travel Doctor promotes safe and healthy travel. We have up to date international health advice and medical services for those intending to travel abroad. We have staff dedicated to travel medicine including specialist doctors and nurses. If you are heading overseas please contact us so we can ensure you have a safe and enjoyable journey

• Specialist Nursing Services

• As well as routine services, we also offer speciality nursing services. We have nurses that specialise in diabetes, respiratory, liquid nitrogen skin treatments, cardiovascular risk and smoking cessation. These nurses run regular clinics aiming to improve the health of patients.

• Wanaka Occupational Health

• Our specialist nursing team carry out monitoring that meets Work Safe requirements and the Health and Safety Act 2015. Health checks available include audiometry, spirometry, drug and alcohol testing, vision screening and healthy heart tests. We can provide a report for businesses if required.

• Employment Medicals

• We provide pre employment medicals for companies wishing to check the health of prospective employees. These medicals generally include an appointment with the nurse followed by the doctor. Tests can include Audiometry, Spirometry, Drug and Alcohol testing, blood tests and any other test required by the employer.

• Skin Treatment Clinics

• Clinics are held weekly in order to treat sun spots and warts with liquid nitrogen. Our nurse specialist runs a weekly clinic and we have a doctor run clinic once a fortnight.
