I trained at Timaru Hospital as an adult student. After finishing my training I worked in Infectious Diseases / Dermatology and ICU and post cardiac surgery ICU, both here in Dunedin and in England. I came back to New Zealand to get married and switched jobs to practice nursing - where I have remained for the past 33 years. It is a privileged position where you are able to develop close working relationships with individuals, extended families , carers over generations. I am married with 1 son- in my spare time I enjoy crafts, music, geneology, cooking, walking and gardening .
