About Me

Hi, I’m Maria. I graduated from Otago Medical School in 2006 and then came to Nelson Hospital to work as a House Officer. Whilst working there, I completed a postgraduate diploma in child health. Following this, I started my GP training in Wanaka and continued this in Dunedin and Christchurch. In recent years I have taken a break from medical work to care for my children and am now excited to be rejoining the GP workforce. I enjoy all aspects of general practice, with particular interest in child and youth health, women’s health and older persons health. I have felt very supported and welcomed by the team at Nelson City Medical Centre and am looking forward to working both with them and the Nelson City patients.
