Dr Wu graduated from the University of Otago in 2003. He completed his GP registrar training in Hamilton/Te Awamutu and passed primary membership exam for the Royal NZ College of GPs in 2006. Before starting his general practice career, he worked for a year in both Dunedin Public Hospital and Royal Price Alfred Hospital in Sydney as a resident doctor and emergency department doctor.Gary has special interests in minor surgery, pediatric health, chronic conditions and health/wellbeing promotion. He moved to New Zealand with his family when he was 15. He speaks four languages which include English, Mandarin, and two other dialects.
