About Me

Chris obtained his medical degree at University of Liverpool,UK. He emigrated to New Zealand 3 years later in 1983 and completed his postgraduate GP training Christchurch. He has worked at the Ilam Medical Centre before moving to Bishopdale Medical in 2004. Chris has a special interest in metabolic and nutritional management of disease and health. He recommends Low carb (LCHF) and ketogenic diets to selected patients who want to address the root cause of many chronic conditions. He can perform full metabolic health checks including fasting insulin levels for those who are motivated to make dietary and lifestyle change. Chris is married and has 3 daughters.
